These are some useful terms to know with respect to this website. Some are even generally useful, but YMMV.

barcode
A printed symbol intended to be read by a computer, used for a variety of purposes, such as product identification at a point-of-sale and tracking items in a warehouse. (More info)

Bünny
Bünny is a very patient and thoughtful Bünny.
chick pea flour
Flour made by grinding up dried chick peas. Also known as "garbanzo flour." (More info)
Chlöe O'Blivion Bornstein
The name of Danfuzz's cat, if he ever gets one.
chocolate in-betweens
A bar-type cookie consisting of bottom and top layers of buttery oatmeal cookie surrounding a layer of chewy oozy chocolate. This is Danfuzz's favorite baked dessert. (More info)
chocolate milk
A tasty beverage made by mixing milk with sugar and cocoa.
coffee milk
A tasty beverage made by mixing milk with sugar and coffee. Higher quality coffee milk is made from coffee concentrate (as opposed to simply from normal strength coffee).
comfortron
The general name for a fold-out chair-bed thing or a combination of several such things. Comfortrons usually exist in one of three configurations: chair, bed, or comfort (the last also called "the full-on comfortron configuration").
Comfortron 2000
A comfortron consisting of a single chair-bed unit. Danfuzz has owned and operated a Comfortron 2000 since about 1980, although it was not named as such until about 1992.
Comfortron 4000
A comfortron consisting of two chair-bed units. With the addition of a new comfortron unit to his household in 1996, Danfuzz became the proud operator of a Comfortron 4000.
Comfortron 10000
A comfortron consisting of five chair-bed units. A Comfortron 10000 has never been observed in the wild.
Dan Bornstein
Born and raised on the east coast, he left for the San Francisco Bay Area in 1992 and never looked back. (More info)
Danfuzz
Dan Bornstein's nickname, for somewhat obscure reasons. There are or have been other "Danfuzz"es on the net / in the world, but Dan Bornstein was the first one, having acquired his nickname in 1988.
DJ Danfuzz
The slightly-augmented nickname Dan Bornstein uses when acting in the capacity of disc jockey or creator of music/audio mixes that consist primarily of source material produced by other people. (More info)
E
A programming language intended for secure distributed computation. The original version was developed by a company called Electric Communities (later, Communitites.com). A new version of the language began development at the company, but later got open sourced and developed independently by Mark Miller. (More info)
Fuzzboy
The nickname Dan Bornstein uses when acting in the capacity of original music composer/performer/producer. There is (or was) also a dj that goes (or went) by the name "Fuzzboy" as well; this is not Dan Bornstein. Dan used the name first (he first used the name in 1991), but he isn't too concerned since the uses do not strictly conflict. (More info)

Worked at a bunch of Silicon Valley startups, including Kaleida, which is where he met Danfuzz. He is fascinated with board games. (More info)
Kokopelli
A figure from Native American mythology, known as "the hunchback flute player" and also as a trickster-type character. He is depicted as part of the site icon for milk.com. (More info)
Lenny Raymond
Lenny and Danfuzz met in 1992 by virtue of the fact that Dan moved into a house where Lenny was subletting a room for the summer. They have been friends ever since, even managing to found a company together (along with Dan's brother Jeremy)—and have it fail—without it ruining their rapport. Lenny has a really neat barbeque grill. (More info)
milk
A naturally-produced opaque and light-colored low-viscosity liquid, produced by or derived from either animals or plants. "Milk" includes, but is not limited to, capybara milk, coconut milk, cow's milk, monkey milk, rice milk, soy milk, and yak's milk. While not all forms of milk are commonly consumed by humans, many people find milk to be a tasty part of their regular caloric intake. While this website does not require you to do so, it (hereby) heartily encourages you to enjoy milk's many splendors.

The United States government program responsible for advocating milk consumption. They get their money by taxing milk sales, and they use this $110 million or so per year for such things as the "milk moustache" ad campaign. (More info)

Schizopolis
Movie written, directed by, and starring Steven Soderbergh, released in 1996. It is Danfuzz's favorite movie. (More info)
ScriptX
A programming language, class library, and runtime environment developed by Kaleida Labs from 1992 to 1995. The language was a garbage-collected typesafe language, and it compiled into a bytecode form. The system was geared towards making it easier to develop media-rich CD-ROM based products. (More info)
Smartacus
Maker of groovy outerwear, has a penchant for mistaking panties for underpants. (More info)
SomaFM
Nifty independent set of net "radio" stations which very occasionally does actual FM broadcasts. SomaFM is run by Rusty Hodge, who is one of the most articulate advocates for net-based broadcasting. (More info)
Steven Soderbergh
Danfuzz's favorite director. He first became known for Sex, Lies, and Videotape, then went on to make somewhat out-there vaguely artsy films, such as Kafka, Schizopolis, and Gray's Anatomy, and then took a turn back toward mainstream with Out of Sight and subsequent releases. (More info)
strawberry milk
A tasty beverage made by mixing milk with sugar and strawberry flavoring. A powdered mix consisting of the latter two ingredients may be found at many grocery stores. At an early age, Danfuzz once threw up a stomachful of this stuff after his brother ran him over with a tricycle, leaving said brother believing, momentarily, that Dan had literally spewed his guts out.
vital wheat gluten
A wheat flour made by processing high gluten flour to remove the starch and bran, yielding a product that is mostly gluten. Also known as "pure gluten flour." (More info)
